Jackson Art Care LLC provides the following services to museums, art galleries, government buildings, auction houses, and private collectors for their easel paintings, murals, and other painted works of art:

Conservation Condition Assessment

  • On-site condition assessment of paintings with written and photographic documentation
  • Condition assessment for traveling exhibitions or loans, including outgoing or incoming condition reporting, condition diagrams, and photography
  • Making recommendations for conservation treatment
  • Providing of conservation treatment estimates

 

Collection Condition Surveys, Management, and Care

  • Collection condition surveys with written documentation and in-situ photography
  • Making recommendations for conservation treatment
  • Collection inventory
  • Assessment of current display and storage conditions and making recommendations
  • Annual or biennial collection condition assessment with as needed collection maintenance

      (including surface cleaning and performance of minor treatment, if needed)

  • Making recommendations for preventative conservation to help ensure long-term preservation of artworks
  • In-situ emergency conservation treatment of unstable paintings to stabilize and prevent further damage (e.g. paintings with tears or active lifting and flaking paint

 

Conservation Treatment

  • Performing of conservation treatment to address condition problems using conservation grade materials

All work is performed according to the American Institute for Conservation Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice.
